questions regarding pinoy nurses in australia
Hi everyone,
My sister and I are currently in the UK and planning to go through the OBA pathway (Pathway 2) for AHPRA registration.
We’re feeling a bit anxious about job prospects and just wanted to ask for advice from those who have been through it:
Is it possible to secure an employer in Australia while still in the middle of the AHPRA process (similar to how some US employers hire before NCLEX is completed), or do we generally need to complete registration first before employers will consider sponsorship?
We’re trying to understand the best way to fast-track everything and whether we should start applying for jobs now or wait until registration is finalised. We’re a bit anxious about the possibility of investing a lot into the process and then struggling to secure employment afterwards.
Also, how difficult is it currently to secure a job in Australia for international nurses in:
- Theatre nursing
- Dialysis nursing
