Unsure how to navigate this situation
I feel like me and my husband have been so distant, and just can’t connect/ get along. I’ve tried and it seems like things will be okay for a few days then it’s all up in flames again. I feel like a lot of it is our views have shifted so much and no longer align. I wouldn’t say mine have so much but his definitely have. He’s become super republican where he didn’t use to be. Not hate if you are republican, but in the way of the men from handmaids tale or something. I wish I was kidding, he’s been outwardly racist which I don’t agree with, thinks white men are superior, and literally said he hates women. When I went and voted recently he said he doesn’t think women should be able to vote. I also bought a flag for pride month for our flag pole and he freaked out, said he questions my abilities to be a mother if I am going to expose our children to that (literally a flag) (also knows I have been with girls ?) All of this is really throwing me because he has never been like this (we have been together 10 years). He doesn’t help out much around the house, with our kids, or with yard work. He is constantly in and out of jobs, lying about it. Just super inconsistent and unreliable. I’ve suggested we do therapy but he WONT. Overall I’m not sure how to navigate this situation, I’m really checked out to be honest. But don’t want to be. I want to make things work out but it feels really difficult when I’m not getting consistent help, and it feels like he’s against anything I believe or support.
tl;dr - me and my husband have different politely views, his are extreme. It feels like he is super unreliable and unable to work with me on all of it.
