"You ever hear the one about the stupid little prick, named Rick, who thought he knew shit, but didn't know shit, and got everyone that he gave a shit about killed?
... It's about you."
I can't be the only one that's always thought this sounds like a Rickyism.
(Degrees of separation: Sarah Wayne Callies who played Lori is also on the show Letterkenny as Anita Dyck, who is married to Noah Dyck, played by Johnathan Torrens, who also plays J-Roc on Trailer Park Boys with Robb Wells who plays Ricky - pictured in AI dressed as Negan. Ricky is known for really long winded dumb as shit knock knock jokes such as "Mr. Stupidy-Head who's fucking pissing me off right now and thinks he's captain of the shit-liner. Oh and by the way your fish sticks suck so fuck off! Open the gate!")
It's sometimes speculated that Kurt's other show, The Abandons, is the same universe as SoA, but I wonder... If maybe, just maybe, Chucky Marstein is the descendant of Isaac Marstein from The Abandons? (I mean, they're both played my Michael Ornstein....)
So what do you think? Smoking gun confirmation, or fun Easter Egg?
(This post is *mostly* a joke about people who insist that it *has* to be connected because of Elias and Dahlia Teller)
https://GitHub.com/signaldirective/aur\_safety
Simple drop-in yay wrapper;
`aur_safety find <search term>` works like `yay -Ss` with the only difference being that the results will have (safe) or (unsafe) annotated beside the package names.
`aur_safety install <package>` works like `yay -S` except if you're attempting to install a compromised package it will warn you and ask if that's what you really want (for when a website lists an AUR package to install so there's no searching done first)
`aur_safety update-lists` will check the local copies of the lists of compromised packages against what's currently available on the aur_safety GitHub repo and if they've changed, it'll update your local copies to match the remote copies. I check for changes every 12 hours and update the remote versions if there's any changes.
I plan to expand to also cover npm, etc but I am focusing my attention mostly on AUR at the moment to make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
aur_safety is a drop-in yay wrapper that annotates search results with (safe) or (unsafe) by checking against all of the known malicious/suspicious package lists.
aur_safety find <search> runs yay -Ss then annotates the results with safety ratings.
aur_safety install <package> runs yay -S *after * checking the package you're trying to install against the lists, and if the package is on them it will alert you and ask if you mean to install a potentially malicious package.
aur_safety update-lists will check your local versions of the malicious/suspicious package lists against the most current version on the aur_safety repo and update your package lists if necessary.
TWIST is really just a fancy name for a set of scripts and files to have a super minimal Firefox userChrome and a start page that automatically match whatever Omarchy theme you're currently using.
In my screenshots, my Firefox setup is usually visible and I've been asked a few times for the dots, so I decided to just make the whole setup available. The start page is user configurable so you can choose what links are displayed, and which search engine the search bar uses.
It's just so damn gorgeous.
