Tried going for a more blood red tone with my wood, should I retry and strip it or roll with it?

I used Miniwax red mahogany stain along with red mahogany danish oil to try and give it more red tones.

I am kinda liking it and I didn’t put any finishing coat yet.

I am having trouble drilling through the OEM Aug Gas Block, I don't have a drill press, just a hand drill using some metric bits I found on Amazon.

Any tips on drilling through it besides just getting the KAK block lol
