Here’s your sign to make sure your DeAR22 is Super Safe

Finally got this running Super Safe
RTB bolt & 4.5” barrel
Metal super safety & metal lever
Borebuddy super strike firing pin
Borebuddy hardened extractor
Borebuddy 3lbs recoil spring
PLASoldier trip +2 remix
Federal Automatch & CCI Minimag ammo

Running suppressed is still a tiny bit finicky but overall super happy with how it’s running. The borebuddy 3lbs spring and +2 trip were the keys.

300BLKFDE Settings and PA6GF

Hi I found the screenshots for the 300BLKFDE settings but was wondering if I could use those settings as is for PA6GF or if there are any I need to tweak. I’m printing on a K1C. Thanks.

Wet filament or fuzzy skin?

Sunlu PLA+2.0 I canceled the print because the pic rail looked horrible.

DeAR22 in progress!

Pretty stoked about this! Everything has mostly come out pretty damn mint. One tiny section of the upper, the supports didn't cleanly lift (I think because it was enclosed so fused a bit. Nothing a file can't fix) but otherwise they've been pretty dang clean! Went with a the mil spec lower remix, and the STNKR flow upper with the STNKR flow standard handgaurd.

Open to any critique of the printed parts, hoping these are serviceable though.

Plan to tuck a FTN.5 Rimfire once I get approved for that, but in the meantime I have a small .22 can I can use.

Next will be purchasing hardware. I've got the FCG reinforcement plats on the way. Trying to decide if I want to go CMMG or RTB for the bolt/barrel kit. Leaning RTB for cost.

I have a LPK already, and a RA-140 trigger, and Atrius FRS ready to go. Been researching the stuff needed to make that work.

What's the best mags to use? Any that have compatibility with the McFadden speed loader? Because manually loading .22lr mags sucks lol.

What else do I need to get? Or other advice I should follow on this build?

Also, huge thanks to u/StruggleFearless2947 for answering all my questions about their build as it was a huge inspo to mine!

Help w/ BCG not going into battery

Im not sure what is happening here. Was hoping someone could spot the issue. I have a Brick AR lower and an upper I purchased from Gorrilla Maching. The upper isn't the best of quality but everything seemed to be in good shape. Everything works flawlessly except the BCG will not close up and go into full battery when loading a cartridge, and im scared to close it hard and cause a crazy jam I can't get un-jammed. Or accidently do a desk pop in my garage. Does anyone see the problem or have any advice? Ghost guns are legal for now in my state and this was purely a project for science. I dont sell anything 3d print related or gun related for that matter. This was purely for fun and to see what would happen, but I had so much fun building this thing, im obsessed with it now and want to fire it. Lol! Any help would be very much appreciated.

First print attempt with PETG-GF

Tinmorry PETG-GF. Made my own profile because my printer didn't have a preset. Anyacubic Kobra X. 260C nozzle temp, 80C bed.

AR buffer 1913 adapter for my AR22. I think it turned out pretty good

Also, I am highly sensitive to glass fiber I now found out. Barely handled this after the print and I am itchy. Anything I can coat this with to reduce the irritation? I want to do a stock now that I have this adapter.

I've been having so much fun!

The plasticatto has been my favorite build so far.

I've probably sent 1,000 rounds through my Mac Daddy as well. 3D2A has elevated my gun autism to a whole new level. I've submitted 2 form 1's and once the crown tells me it's okay, I'm printing 2 cans 🙌🏻

Where’s PLABOI?

I think he finally decided to actually fully retire this time, I was just on the sea, and it appears his page is gone. Fortunately, a lot of people have reuploaded all the FTN.5 files, not sure about the older designs, though. Speaking of the FTN.5, has anyone run 458 SOCOM through the 45 cal rifle can? Either the normal or flow through (though I prefer the flow version). I just want to know before I order a 458 SOCOM upper.

PetgCF for Accessories?

Been loving the Eryone Petg CF, but wondering how well it’ll last as far as accessories go?
So far, just with dry fire drills, pistol grips seem to be holding up fine. (DB tail gunner grip, ciwielab m7 DeAR lower)

Internally suppressed/Pin and Weld AR Barrels

Putting it out into the ether in case it already exits or someone else has given it thought. Has anyone done an internally suppressed, full length AR rifle barrel? Like how the careless whisper lever action utilizes a 7.5in barrel, but PaW to make it a single stamp and be able to be thrown inside any old ar upper. Just late night spitballing.

Edit1: I hunt exclusively out of state being as I live next to the line, you have to declare crossing state lines with an SBR. Unless they changed that. Wanted to avoid that extra paperwork if I could.

BALR - Range report - not great….

The BALR does fire fine, the three rounds I got through…. The bolt retainer is the week link - it broke on cycling out the third and in with the forth round, and the bolt carrier partially popped out the back. No big deal but I couldn’t fix at range. I saw someone else complaining about this part - it’s very small and fragile. I had dry cycled it and with snap caps a hundred times or more with no issues. I might be more aggressive with the bolt at the range I guess, but either way, it’s going to happen. Easy to reprint, but I’ll have to take off the optic and pic rail to reinstall, assuming when it got pulled out from the wrong side, that there was no damage to the upper receiver that will require a reprint. I going to try to make this part from a block of aluminum. It’s a tiny 3d part so can’t SCS it. Nothing to do with operation, but I regret doing the integral rear bipod. They are flimsy and don’t really lock in place well. If I had known, I would have just printed the medium sized hand guard. They look cool, but that’s about it. I’ll be shooting with the handguard on a pile of range bags

We throw away 200+ lbs of clean rubber every week. I'll mail it to you for the cost of shi

Every week, my small rubber stamp factory in Minnesota sends hundreds of pounds of clean, high-quality natural rubber to the landfill. It kills me. This is the stuff trimmed off the edges of our stamps. It's soft, natural red rubber, no dirt, no contamination.

I've posted before and gotten tons of great suggestions. I've reached out to every single one. Mulch recyclers, playground surfacing, crafters, art teachers, makerspaces, you name it. Nobody wants it. Most would rather grind up dirty old tires than take clean rubber from a stamp shop. I can't make it make sense.

It's free. You just pay shipping, which works out to about $1/lb. I'll ship as much as you want. Use it for crafts, gaskets, packing material, garden mulch, art projects, whatever. I just want it to go somewhere besides a landfill.

If this resonates with you, please crosspost it to any subreddit you think might want this. Crafters, gardeners, makers, sustainability, hobbies, anything. That's the real ask.

Temu SPR build

This build started when i saw a BCA complete upper with 20” hbar for $190 ish.

I enjoy SPRs so I thought “how bad can it be for under 200 bucks?”. I decided my goal was to make the cheapest SPR possible.

Hadnt shot it in a while, so took it to the range today along with my WOA 18” SPR. Everything was at 100 yards

Cold barrel group for each, then moved to smaller dots. Most of the rounds are 62 gr reloads. I ran a 5 round group in each gun with 77gr reloads. Both had bipods and rear bags.

Imagine my surprise that I got a 0.75” 5 round group with the BCA vs WOA 0.94” with the 77gr

Not sure what is up with the WOA today, maybe didnt like this batch of reloads, normally it averages 1.5” groups and does way better than todays performance.

Build:
BCA 20” complete upper 1:8 223 wylde
Super lower
Km tactical flat face trigger
Reduced power springs by dirty bird
H3 buffer
Amazon bipod
Duramag 20 rounders
Monstrum 5-25 scope (this really sucks will need to be swapped asap)

Everything together was under $450, optic included.

You can also see my Slap Stick on the side, easy to manipulate bolt with left hand.

Also dont take this post as a ringing endorsement for BCA. I rolled the dice and won the lottery but they do not have the best reputation so I am not sure my results are repeatable.
