My 3d printed (pa6-cf) lower for the SSSZar super safety build. First print in nylon is a great success!

My first time printing with a nylon like pa6-cf other than a benchy right before this started and it came out so fucking nice. I basically can't see any layers and it's got a nice texture finish from the carbon fiber material. I plan on printing few different versions of the frame just to have on hand as it's super easy to put together with the ar15 lower fcg parts. I do want to print the ATRH version to keep the stock parts too and will once the FRT comes out for it which is very close to being done!!!

I posted my PLA+ 2.0 printed lower a bit ago which was just for testing and I was honestly intimidated in printing this material but I read a lot and prepared my printer settings and it payed off. I should get my FFL and sling printed lowers for 200 bucks!! I do want to start a printing business for gun parts (non FFL stuff), custom pieces, or super safety parts, hand guards, etc etc. But we will see how things go.

I'll post some pics and video of this baby test fire in a few days or so.

My first go pa6-cf rprint

To say I'm thrilled with the outcome is an understatement!!! Flawless print of the SSSZar V3 for my super safety vz61 build. I already had it in pla+ 2.0 for testing and finally sent it for the final build. Used Sunlu Pa6-cf on a Qidi Q2 with 300blk nylon settings with some small adjustments, the chamber temp to 65c and printed for about 15 hours total.

The pics without supports are after annealing and I'll be soaking it in water to moisture condition and then building this thing!! Can't wait to fire it!!

For anyone worried about pa6-cf being difficult I wouldn't be, as long as you got dry filament and a printer you know is working and prints well you should be good to go.

First attempt at printing a lower! Pleased with the results!! (VZ-61 SSSZar V3 Super Safety).

With the price and rarity of the metal lowers these days, I have decided to just print my own!!! I have recommended this to many others as it's so easy and comes out so nice. This was printed on the Qidi Q2 printer in SUNLU PLA+ 2.0 as this was meant to be a test frame and I'm going to print in PA6-cf for the final build.

This is the super safety lower that uses an AR15 FCG so the super safety can work with the gun. I ordered an all metal SS housing, trip bar, lever, and cam. I made a post about them in this sub a couple weeks ago, and although people shit on it, the parts fit PERFECTLY. I haven't quite got it built yet (will do tonight) but seems like all is good.

This one has the original stock adapter but there are options in the files to use a rail type adapter, top rail or no top rail etc and a few grips options. I'm going to do the original grip style but that fits onto this frame to keep the look the same.

Now if I just got my form 1 bullshit completed so I can actually put the stock on the thing. I'll update when I build and test shoot it as a pistol until my form 1 approves.

Shoot me any questions!!!

First attempt at printing a lower! Pleased with the results, but need tips on making supports easier to remove from tight spots. Details inside...(VZ-61 SSSZar V3)

So I'm working on the SSSZar V3 super safety build and just got the first print done in SUNLU PLA + 2.0 and am very happy with the quality. I am going to print in PA6-cf but haven't tried that filament yet. The all metal super safety box, trip bar, lever, and cam all fit really nice in the frame.

I would like help with some settings regarding the support removal. is there something I can do to make it easier in some sports?. I had a hell of a fight with the back side of the print where the metal upper fits into a small channel. ESPECIALLY the corners. I had to exacto knife and pick the fuck out of it and kinda beat it up really bad. All the supports on the rest were fine. I just have them set as Tree (Organic), auto brim etc. Any help with what's better for an easier breakaway would be very appreciated.

Will update with complete build later!!! I love printing gun stuff!!!

Anyone that has been looking for an option for SMOOTH wide green/black hand guards, got notification LCT LC3 airsoft wide hand guards in GREEN are in stock. Personal review also.

I know lots of people that are interested in having cheap options for wide hand guards in black and green that are SMOOTH not bumpy with those lines all over it like the AC unity hand guard (will always be the reason I didn't buy one and got one of these instead). I have had this site saved for a while, and ended up getting my wide hand guards elsewhere, I thought others would like to know.

I ordered this same hand guard, the LCT LC3 in green and also have the same in black. They have held up to over 1000 rounds without any issue. They have a real aluminum heat shield and fit nearly good to go. I had to do a bit of dremeling to mine to get a good fit, but that's totally fine in my book. I did have to do some more dremeling to get the traditional metal bipod on as well, but it wasn't much and got them all fit and working like butter.

I would totally recommend getting this if you want a wide hand guard if you want to paint parts to match any other gear, see mine where I painted it to match some Olive Drab color I picked out for my rifle.

For the looks (I couldn't justify getting the AC Unity), and value (feels great in hard and sturdy), hard to beat if you're looking to kit your gun!!

Here is what mine looks like before/after painting

Note: this isn't an ad and I don't get shit for this, I just wanted to spread word as I have personally talked with many PTR-91 owners (here/Hk-pro forums etc) looking for wide body hand guards and also don't like the rippled cheaper option. Other than dropping stacks on an authentic HK one (still good luck finding green!) this is an option I have used and tested myself and certainly recommend.

pic of dremel work done on hand guard and bipod to make it fit. I just put some grease on it and it swings freely smooth as butter and is sturdy locked in. Fits and works great.

Update to the metal VZ-61 SS parts ordered from Freedom Industrial Works

This is an update to my post about a week ago regarding the ordering of the metal VZ-61 Super safety parts and hybrid cam (although I thought it was also metal, but their page does say hybrid I'm just stupid, although I'll be ordering metal one asap). The order has arrived!! They didn't ghost me like I thought, they were just very backed up for whatever reason and out of office for being sick they said, and took 10 days to get any reply to me after waiting a week for an order update email. They did send me some freebies (cheap red dot, balaclava, rubber grip thingy) as an apology which was nice I guess, Ill def use the stuff on some range toys so it's all good.

That being said the metal housing and parts I'm mostly satisfied with. As you can probably tell the cam is not straight and is kinda shit? I'm sure there is a reason for the hybrid design as it seems the metal part of the cam is right where the lever puts force on the cam, but this one isn't done well anyway. I sent them some pics, and they are going to send me a few replacements free of charge. Which is fair, although I'll be getting a metal one from somewhere else, but they are good to have I guess.

The pre pinned trip bar and housing are nice, sturdy and smooth all around. I haven't tried to put them into a gun yet as mine isn't ready, but I will be soon. There are only two options that I have found from metal SS housing parts for the vz-61, this one for the SSSzar build I am doing, and the other for the CZAR model, but that one doesn't come pre pinned and doesn't have a cam at all and is 10 dollars more, so for the options I'm glad I have this in metal that will last longer than printed parts. Although if you have access to something that can cut this out of thin metal and build it yourself or just print replacements to have on hand a lot, then it would probably be worth it to do instead.

Doing a VZ61 3D lower for the super safety, want to get the trip bar, cam, housing and pin all in machined metal that several places are offering, I think I have been ghosted by Freedom Industrial Works. Anyone have experience with them?

As the title says, I purchased the VZ61 metal housing trip bar and cam all pinned from Freedom Industrial Works machine shop. They offer quite a lot of FRT and super safety stuff machined. Well I ordered, didn't get an auto confirmation, but the money cleared my bank. I sent an email asking about the order confirmation for my records and 3 days later they got back apologizing the system is messed up, and that they were getting the order together, and she would give tracking number the next day. And then I never heard anything, for 10 days now. I tried calling and left messages twice to their number (different days) and also sent two emails and also sent their Instagram a message asking for my confirmation and also the tracking if the order was sent. Nothing. No returned calls or emails.

I know they don't seem like a huge operation, but I think they may be ghosting me on purpose? Seems like I should at least hear something back via one of those routes in that time. Just wondering if anyone has any experience working with them. I will probably talk to my bank about the charge if it goes on for much longer without even getting a reply about the order.

Got tired of all the mismatching HK "OD Green" furniture

Rapco #23070 WWII Semi-Gloss Olive Drab for anyone wondering. It was between that or the #34087 Lusterless Khaki Olive Drab, but it didn't have enough brown in it for me to get close to the original color. The paint I picked seems closer to the original in real life than in these pictures, but it is a bit more green. I think it looks great though. Certainly give my praise to the Rapco paints, the website is straight Aids, but the paint is top-notch, feels great to handle too.

Got tired of the mismatching HK "OD Green" on all my PTR-91 furniture. First time painting anything, Rapco #23070 WWII Semi Gloss Olive Drab.

After ordering an "OD Green" wide hand guard from the LCT company that makes the airsoft one with the heat shield as I already had a black one and wanted to keep that for my all black loadout. Well, it didn't match anything I had on the gun already, not really surprising as 3 of 4 furniture pieces were all different shades. I spent WAY too much time deciding on what color to choose to match the OD Green stuff I got on my PTR-91 (torn between Rapco #23070 WWII Semi Gloss Olive Drab and #34087 Lusterless Khaki Olive Drab). I also tried to have the furniture scanned at a paint store for a color code but was unsuccessful to get anything to come back even close to reality. I finally went for it, first time trying to paint anything gun related. I think it came out really well and looks so good in person, I was also surprised at how nice the paint feels too.
