Here’s your sign to make sure your DeAR22 is Super Safe

Finally got this running Super Safe
RTB bolt & 4.5” barrel
Metal super safety & metal lever
Borebuddy super strike firing pin
Borebuddy hardened extractor
Borebuddy 3lbs recoil spring
PLASoldier trip +2 remix
Federal Automatch & CCI Minimag ammo

Running suppressed is still a tiny bit finicky but overall super happy with how it’s running. The borebuddy 3lbs spring and +2 trip were the keys.

First mag, arc fire v2. How does the rate/ ejection look?

Kak 11.5 5.56 suppressed only barrel. H1 with an extra power spring. B&t SRBS full size can.

I would have gotten a full mag but had to run to work.

High shelf correct?

I mean, it looks like it’s pretty obviously a high shelf receiver. It’s a Smith & Wesson sport but the dimples and it kind of suggest it missed a step in the finishing process, correct?

Wish me luck

Finally got the parts in and the time to try and make this work. Wish me luck. Fingers crossed I can get the mini Kabuto rolling with the legit 3 burst parts. I also have a spare full sized Kabuto housing. Debating cutting off the front right half to see if I can get that also going. I'll keep y'all posted when I have an update.

Trigger cut

I want to cut another flat milspec trigger to use with the ARC fire. I preffer a flat vs the curved one that comes with. Do I need to match the cut on the 2nd picture or can a angled cut like the 1st picture for a hoffman tactical SS work?

AR9SD ARC fire v1.5

ROFgui says 628rpm, full build details, and troubleshooting steps to get ARC fire working with AR9 coming soon. Novox x-sd barrel and adapter on a rugged sub9.

u/Connect-Stress4215 — 1 day ago

AR9-SD build details.

I’ve had this build finished for less than 24 hours, and it’s already one of my favorite pieces to shoot. I’ll gloss over receivers and handguards for the sake of keeping this post at least somewhat brief.

Noteworthy parts list:

-JRC 8.5” buffer tube.

-Kynshot RB5015HD buffer (6oz).

-Kynshot spacer weigh x2 (5oz).

-Tubbs standard carbine flatwire spring.

-BKF 9mm bolt.

-KAK tungsten heavy carrier weight.

-Novox X-SD barrel and adapter kit.

-ASD ARC fire v1.5

-Bore Buddy ARC fire timing shim

Build specs:

-OAL collapsed = 27 15/16”

-Weight w/o optic = 7lb 4.5oz

-Cyclic rate = 624rpm

-Suppressor length from rear of handguard = 11 11/16”

-Barrel length from rear of handguard = 4 3/4”

-muzzle velocity 115gr Luger/124gr NATO = TBD/TBD (will update in comments after range trip tomorrow)

Issues and Troubleshooting:

-ARC fire trigger regular semi auto in both fire and ARC position = requires Bore Buddy timing advance shim for ARC fire.

-ARC fire trigger binding with timing advance shim installed = remove shim and incrementally remove material from both sides with 600 grit sandpaper, using a circular motion, until trigger functions smoothly.

-KAK tungsten heavy carrier weight protruding from rear of bolt = use 180 grit sandpaper to remove roughly 1/16” from rear of weight, finish with 600 grit if desired.

If anyone has questions feel free to ask, I’ll do my best to answer.

can tell im inexperienced since i didn’t realize i still had rounds left in the magazine until i saw the cartridge fly out at the end lol

AS Designs Arc Fire v2 non ambi issue w/ Torx safety screw

Function checks fine with the safety screw extremely loose, get it anywhere near the 10in lbs it calls for and it binds. I’ve reached out to AS designs. They responded the next day (last Friday) and they said to send in videos which I have, but I haven’t heard back since. I tried an m16 cut lower I have and I am having the same issue in that one as well. I feel like the threading is out of spec. Any ideas?

SSS AK Kit Insight

So I just purchased a couple AK kits from supersafetyshop and had a few questions to ask for anyone that has experience or some rounds with theirs. I ordered these before I noticed on the website that they dont list the type of metal they are. After I've just received them today and got my hands on them these are clearly cast parts and they're not even magnetic. I could care less on the finish of the parts but are these going to have any premature wear due to being made from aluminum or unknown pot metal? Just wanted to ask anyone who has some rounds on theirs if they'll at least last decently. Cause if these things are gonna eat themselves apart after 600 rounds then this seems like a bad buy.

Finally got my 3 round burst frt working.

I kept removing material on the front bottom of the cam disconnector a little at a time and its function testing perfectly. (B kings 3 round burst kit) with arc fire first gen. I am confident it will perform perfectly. The strike trigger tester is an invaluable tool to test your setup. Thanks to all that contributed to this project.

AS Designs ARC v2 Selectors Option

I’m not a fan of the milspec selectors for the ARC v2 on my AP5 so I decided to give the AS Designs 416 selectors a whirl. Some will like, some will dislike. As for me, I think they look fantastic.

Kabuto mini failure within 20 rounds.

So I just finished putting together an 18" rifle. It has a mill spec fire control group, full auto bolt and H2 buffer from PSA. I got a full metal Kabuto mini kit. I made sure to clearance the Kabuto lever and leg so that it would cycle in regular semi and FRT. It function tested fine and was resetting. I took it to the range and ran about half a mag of regular semi and opened it up to find the lever had snapped. Aside from some carnage glitter there doesn't appear to be any damage to any other parts. The only thing I can think of is I shaved the lever too thin, but I tried not to shave it any thinner than it needed to not lock the bolt. I have a metal super safety on the way and would like to not snap it's lever.

Help With super safety

I put a super safety in a DB-15 and a PSA 5.56 lower both with correct BCG's and low shelves. Both of them work in all positions when dry firing but the trigger doesn't reset when firing using ammunition. The first picture is the BCG's the second is the shelf in the DB-15 and the third is the triggers used. One of the triggers was hand cut using the jig on the left and the second was from DNT.
