Hi everyone!

A while back I had done a VZ61 build using a Tortort receiver when they went on sale from CenterFire Systems. I always felt like the magazine wobble was strange to me, but I kind of just figured that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I was looking through and noticed a lot of people had the same issues. Is the magazine wobble I’m getting normal or excessive?

I wish I could attach more as I do also wanna talk about suppressing it. I have a bowman 5.5” threaded barrel and I’m receiving a lot of slop when I thread on the suppressor. I have no real way to seat it against the barrel. I do want to use a suppressor on it, but I’ve got 0 clue on how to really attach it and stay properly seated :P

This is an update to my post about a week ago regarding the ordering of the metal VZ-61 Super safety parts and hybrid cam (although I thought it was also metal, but their page does say hybrid I'm just stupid, although I'll be ordering metal one asap). The order has arrived!! They didn't ghost me like I thought, they were just very backed up for whatever reason and out of office for being sick they said, and took 10 days to get any reply to me after waiting a week for an order update email. They did send me some freebies (cheap red dot, balaclava, rubber grip thingy) as an apology which was nice I guess, Ill def use the stuff on some range toys so it's all good.

That being said the metal housing and parts I'm mostly satisfied with. As you can probably tell the cam is not straight and is kinda shit? I'm sure there is a reason for the hybrid design as it seems the metal part of the cam is right where the lever puts force on the cam, but this one isn't done well anyway. I sent them some pics, and they are going to send me a few replacements free of charge. Which is fair, although I'll be getting a metal one from somewhere else, but they are good to have I guess.

The pre pinned trip bar and housing are nice, sturdy and smooth all around. I haven't tried to put them into a gun yet as mine isn't ready, but I will be soon. There are only two options that I have found from metal SS housing parts for the vz-61, this one for the SSSzar build I am doing, and the other for the CZAR model, but that one doesn't come pre pinned and doesn't have a cam at all and is 10 dollars more, so for the options I'm glad I have this in metal that will last longer than printed parts. Although if you have access to something that can cut this out of thin metal and build it yourself or just print replacements to have on hand a lot, then it would probably be worth it to do instead.

Hey I tired to copy a cz surplus barrel this as close I could get I should of done before barrel was pressed in
I polished it at first seems to work better but still had issues were it would jam just not as often. Is this close enough to possibly get me better results.?

Sorry on the repost but i didnt describe my issue properly. Havent gotten to build it yet just popped a round in the barrel to see how it fits and it seems to be too high. Ppu 32 auto flat nose.

Anyone know the blueing for the frame? Mines pretty scratched

Thought this was a pin. Figured out it was a button that was seized by rust. Punched it out from the other side and now it no work no more. Did I fuck myself?

It’s a stainless steel 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 thread adapter. I heated it up and tapped it on with a piece of wood. Tight fit up after cooling. Wonder if I should silver solder it or if the interference fit is good enough.

Fresh delivery from K-Var. Advertised as a Yugo M84 kit but seems to be a little different than my other Yugo’s. It doesn’t have the sight adjustment screw on the left side above the barrel pin and also has a serial number location that I’ve never seen on any of my Yugo or Czech variants. Anyone ever seen a Yugo model with these features? Could this be a Czech kit that was painted black? If anyone has any insight on this I’d love to hear it.

Either of these any good? I’m struggling to find anything that isn’t hollow points

Got something in the works right now that I am designing and prototyping. If it all works out and anyone is interested, I’ll share the design and full parts list required.

I’ll post pics of it fully printed and assembled with my non-printed hardware, bearings, and guide rods as soon as it all finishes.

Original CZ Vz61. Bought it 15 years ago.

It will be modernized very soon, waiting for rails and stock.
