My two-stamper

I mostly keep it with the 22 upper on, but still hoping to find some .32 at a decent price.

It eats Aguila super extra subs and standards without much trouble, but it does get hella dirty with the can on there.

Help with ID

I’m looking to repurpose this chronograph movement from a “nicer” replica watch into another case with a dial of my own making. Can anyone help identify what movement it is? This image is with the winding rotor removed.

Is this normal wear?

Two things, I have about 4-500 rounds through my 556R. I know the dust covers can wear out, but this seems premature for this to crack and rip like this after so few round. Might replace them, but at $40 a pop, idk if I want to do that yet.

The second thing is that the charging handle seems to be peening the back edge of the slot. Is that normal? Is something wrong here? What could cause or prevent this from happening?

Trigger adjustment…why did I put this off?!?!

I’d head about how much people like the triggers on sig 55x rifles, but tbh, I’ve been underwhelmed by the trigger on my 556R since I got it about 2 years ago. I didn’t have a tiny wrench, so I never bothered with trying to adjust it. I just dealt with it… so mushy and I never got the hang of the breaking point with so much travel after the second stage spring.

Well, this past weekend I was determined to tackle this and make it better. I used some forceps to grab the lock nut, and small knipex to turn the plunger 1/6th turn at a time. I was able to set the plunger all the way back and now it breaks juuussst after plunger movement. It’s a perfect wall. Holy shit, this makes such a big difference. I can’t stop dry firing it. Now I get it. Now I really understand why folks love these triggers. I can’t wait for my next range day over Memorial Day weekend.
