What are your thoughts on the grip and stock being black? I feel like it doesn’t fit too well, any suggestions?
I think they came out fairly decent! MCB could use a touch more solid black on one side. I wish I had another brown/ tan on hand to add to the Desert Tiger Stripe. My power has been out, and I have a pile of mags, so I figured why not.
Edit: Stripe not strip
So i picked up the 250th birthday edition lower and originally i was going to paint my build with Rapco Forrest Green. I want to see the engraving after its painted but its not very deep and i dont want to lose it in the paint. Question is how could i do it and the engraving show through?
Shout out to panther city tactical!! First time painting or using stencils. Bergara b14hmr stock, stripped completely with Klean strip took the texturing and paint off. Was aiming for Noveske N81 though not perfect I’m happy with it!
Wanted to add some sponge to the paint job I posted yesterday. Overdid it on the sponge with tan and green so I made big green stripes with an old toothbrush and the brown is with a small paintbrush. Obviously some of the tan sponge is still there as well. The great thing about using sponges and brushes is you can go back and touch up or change things up without having to tape everything off again
See previous post for info!
First time and came out better than I thought!!! FYI: No adhesive was used on this project 😁
most of it is freehanded so not sure if it totally fits here. I’m also looking for advice on painting different camos, any tips?
Just waiting on the barrel to arrive then I have to pick and optic of some kind. Love me some Rapco!
Heavily inspired by a post on saw here earlier. Had a lot of fun. Can’t wait to paint more.
I was gonna add a bit more with a sponge after this point but I really liked how it looked so I left it like this. My last post was a 6ARC and this one is 5.56
My second attempt at a multicam black without the multicam. So a buddy who happens to run the only decent gun shop within a hour drive. He was sighting in some guns and he kinda dug the rail covers and optic I did asked If I could paint his parts a couple mags a pistol grip ans a vertical foregrip. Mine went smoothly so should his right. I was getting frustrated with the way the dish soap was not running the same way different contours and well day one sucked. I got to close on my black ove it all and it made me a lot more careful on pattern and distance from the parts. The Kung fu grip sucks on this method cause all the little textures hold the soap or paint and you lose your pattern. I went in at the end spraying in a Dixie cup and brushing them in. All In all I think I’m okay with the outcome. But it’s also not my firearm. He says he likes it and that was the goal. I guess I’m not sure of a better method unless someone just throws it out there. Cause I plan on doing a few more things for myself at least. Have a great weekend everyone. Celebrate our freedom. Teach a kid to shoot they Are our future.
The quality you expect from Rapco, the lusterless finish we prefer, and the color for some reason a lot of people wanted. It’s HOT PINK
