Rhinoplasty Surgery - 8 months
Looking for your honest thoughts/feedback
Hi everyone, I’m approaching the 1 year mark (time flies!!) from my rhinoplasty (surgery was September 2025) and wanted some honest opinions/advice from people who’ve had rhinoplasty or are familiar with healing.
Overall I definitely prefer my nose compared to before, but I still feel like the bottom of my nostrils/alar area looks thick or slightly swollen/heavy. The skin there feels thicker than the rest of my nose and sometimes I wonder if it still looks “unfinished” in a way. I feel like my nose still looks big.
This is my biggest area of concern now as it makes my nose look less soft.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback:
- Does it look like it healed well overall?
- Does the nostril/base area still look swollen or thick-skinned?
- Do you think the result suits my face naturally?
- Does it look like there’s room for improvement, or am I overanalyzing normal healing?
- For those with thick skin, did your tip/nostril area continue refining after 1 year?
I think I’ve stared at my nose so much that I genuinely can’t judge it objectively anymore lol, so outside opinions would really help. Thanks :)
