I created this iron golem farm by watching this video https://youtu.be/Npn8o592Yy4?si=-_psgeowHWZ5ArVR I did everything right but the only part which was different was , the surround was was covered with cobblestone instead of dirt .. after completion the golems began to spawn outside this structure ..I thought the cobblestone was the problem so I removed it and covered it with dirt but they still spawn where they are not supposed to

I am new to minecraft so I don't know like anything but I am pretty sure I built it right
