LR4 Cons (Please Help?)
I do love my LR4 and would love nothing more than to solve the issues that are making me debate throwing it away. I’ve had it for 3-4 years now.
THE SMELL. Litter deodorizer in the globe and waste tray does nothing. It’s like the smell of cat piss is ingrained in the globe liner itself and none of the Whisker cleaners can get the smell out. The smell has gotten significantly stronger over the last year. It basically smells like my cat just used the bathroom, constantly. Every 4-8 weeks I take everything apart to deep clean it, and notice the smell is back and still just as strong the next day.
Honorable mention. Pee easily clumping on the liner, sometimes I have to manually scrape it off or it just stays. I’ve tried waxing the liner in the past, but it’s another exhausting layer of deep clean that doesn’t last very long either.
WTF do I use to keep this thing smelling halfway decent??? Debating just asking for a replacement liner but I don’t think that will fully fix my issue, especially not long term. Cleaning/smell tips? 🙃
