Cat's portrait I did from a photo

Cat's portrait I did from a photo

I've done this watercolor portrait today using the photo of this curious cat. I'm not sure who is the author of the original photo, it's all over the internet, including here.

Yesterday I saw this pigeon, took a photo, and did this watercolor with liner and pencils

I looked him up on the internet, and found that this is a type of common rock pigeons, and the brownish color says that it descends from a specially bred pigeons. I liked the unusual color and decided to make this portrait.

Paper model of Lighthouse on Althorpe island in Australia

I loved the architecture of this Australian lighthouse. So, I used various photos and tried to recreate its shape as close as possible. It was difficult because the walls are not straight, they are curved. I imitated the curve with few cones. The radiuses and angles of cones I calculated with formulas found on the internet. Next difficulty was to fit these cones one to another smoothly. Anyway, here is the result. If you want to try to make it yourself, I still have PDF with all the details to cut. So, let me know.

And you can read more about this lighthouse in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Althorpe_Islands

Can I turn these my drafts to the stain-glass art? And welcome to use these!

Dear all, I've done these window stickers. What do you think, can these be adopted for some real stained glass art, or to something closer to the real stained glass? And of course you are welcome to adapt and use these if you'd like. Any recommendations and comments are very welcome. I'm new to this great area of art.

Fishing boat, Denmark - a watercolor from a reference photo

Here is my watercolor painting or a fishing boat on the beach of Nørre Vorupør in Denmark. For the reference I used a photo of the boat from Wikimedia Commons. I used watercolor paper 200g/m2, the format is about A4 I think. Do you use reference photos for your artwork?
