I can see again!!

Seriously, this community is incredible. I’m writing this while wearing a pair of contacts I got after an exam, and I’m still kind of in shock. I originally posted here as a total long shot, not expecting anything to come from it—and yet here we are.

You really never know who’s out there or who’s paying attention. There are some genuinely amazing people in this city.

God bless this community, and God bless Austin, Texas. I can’t say thank you enough. The person who helped me wants to stay anonymous, but just know—you made a real difference.

And to anyone reading this: don’t ever feel completely alone. Austin can feel big, overwhelming, and isolating sometimes, but there are good people out there.

Hello Austin — I know this is a bit of a long shot, but I figured it’s worth asking.
I’m in pretty desperate need of new glasses. My current pair is close to 10 years old, and they’re barely holding up. I used to have contacts from when I had insurance, but those are long expired now and started making my eyes super red and painful, so they’re not an option anymore.
I’ve got two kids, and no matter how much I try to plan ahead, something always comes up financially. Without insurance, I honestly don’t know when I’ll be able to afford an eye exam and new glasses, but I really need both soon.
I hate even having to ask, but if anyone knows of low-cost resources, programs, or anything that could help, I’d be incredibly grateful. Even just pointing me in the right direction would mean a lot.
I’d really love to be able to see clearly again.

Hey everyone — I started a TikTok account about a week ago where I clip podcasts, and it’s been growing pretty fast. I’m at around 3k followers and 40k likes already, and I’ve figured out a format that consistently hits 100k+ views.

I know people are making money doing this, but I’m not totally sure what the next step is for monetization. If anyone has experience with this, I’d love to hear how you’re actually turning views into income.

Also, I started reposting the same clips on Instagram. Is it worth expanding to IG and YouTube Shorts too, or should I just stay focused on TikTok for now?

Howdy everyone. Quick question. I use Flex from time to time to pay rent. I used them this month and have had some unexpected expenses come up and am unable to make my second payment. My question is, does anyone know if they will reverse your payment if you don’t make the second payment or what happens? Their AI will not allow me to do anything other than open a support ticket. Any help is appreciated.
