The Way I Gasped When I Pulled Out the Actual VHS

It’s Rugrats Limited Edition Double Trouble VHS! It’s been in storage for years and I got an instant 90s flashback when I pulled out the VHS from the box. I wore out this VHS when I was little, watched it every chance I got. Inserting it into the VCR was a very big deal that the kids (and teens) of today will never know about (well, only if they went out and bought a VCR and a VHS haha)

For those of you who work/have worked at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx/Ross…

How do you guys do it during clearance events? How do you restrain the urge to buy something on super clearance while on the job?? I know I couldn’t work there because as soon as I would see a clearance item that I rrrrreally wanted but couldn’t do anything about it while on the job, I would be so mad if a customer snagged it. So how do you employees deal with losing out on clearance items you see and want and they’re not there anymore or do I have the completely wrong idea and retail FOMO is not a thing? lol

Edit: thanks for the insightful and respectful replies, fellow Marshall’s Redditors :)

Soooo I had a Hallmark movie moment in Aldi…

The type of moment I scoff about and say, “yeah right like meeting your super handsome soulmate in the frozen aisle ever happens in real life” well…it actually did (well, had the potential to :)

So the guy was shopping like me and we casually pass one another various times throughout the store but we were both equally shy and didn’t do anything about it until…we met again in the frozen aisle and he stopped right next to me studying very intently on a frozen pizza while I was on the phone. I hung up and braved it saying he should try it. He was unsure but he did take my suggestion in the end and then introduced himself. Lots of smiles and awkward silences ensued but after this encounter, we both realized our mutual love for Aldi and Grocery Outlet but were still too shy to exchange #s.

Ah, such is the life of a flirty introvert in a grocery store. Maybe I’ll see him in the bread aisle next time haha

Any Aldi romance/connection stories?! Please share!

Waitlist Tickets

How long from initial presale does it usually take for the waitlisted to start getting tickets? Do waitlist people usually get taken off waitlists a soon as a month after presale? Apologies if this has already been asked oh, only a million times lol

My mom and I are VERY disappointed. We have been buying the Aldi Sundae Shoppe ice cream brand since forever but recently saw that not only did the packaging and design change but also the ice cream itself. What once used to be a very buttery and sweet ice cream is now very bland and disappointing. Aldi nnnnnoooooooooo! Anyone else agree?
