Post HG Digestion

Let me Preface this with the fact that I know how FREAKING LUCKY I am that at 22 weeks, my symptoms are significantly improved. I’m not going to say I’m not still dealing with hg symptoms but I’m not getting sick 10+ times a day, constant nausea, I’m back to work part time. Very lucky. That being said, I’m looking to see if anyone dealt with significant digestion issues following whether still pregnant or postpartum. I cannot get food to digest for the life of me. It makes sense to me like my body just does not remember how to do this plus hormones I’m sure aren’t helping. It feels like gastroparesis. I can’t tolerate digestive enzymes, just wondering if time will fix this or if anyone has any other advice? It often makes it hard to breathe or still just get in the nutrition I need. Please know I’m not complaining bc I know it could still be so much worse 🤎 thank you for any insight you have!

Crippling anxiety

Is anybody else experiencing debilitating anxiety with this? I’d say the depression is up there too. I’ve had 3 professionals tell me now to get on medication it’s become so bad. I worry about so much, I had chronic illness prior to this and now I am just so worried about what will happen post pregnancy and how much more this has destroyed my body. I’m having such a hard time connecting to baby, or doing anything fun even like creating a registry. I’m just wondering if anyone can relate, is this a side effect of hg or just a natural outcome resulting from the trauma of this all

How did you know you were improving?

When you started getting better or improving, even if slightly, what did you notice? Was it gradual or sudden? I’m just curious to hear your experiences, for those who have been fortunate enough to not have to experience it the entire pregnancy ❤️

Am I overreacting?

Hi , I’m so grateful to have found this group :)

I’m at 12+2 and no end in sight. I truly have been in bed since week 6-unable to work, i can get to the couch sometimes and I’ve left the house just a couple times to tell some family the news. I get sick often, but I think the bigger issue is the weakness and worsening POTS symptoms along with the unrelenting nausea. I’ve dealt with chronic illness prior to this and have always been pretty dang good at pushing through but this feels impossible. I even get home IVs bc going to urgent care takes too much out of me. I see some with HG who can work or go do certain things at times and I’m starting to really question myself , if it’s as bad as I feel it is or if I should push myself to do more…. I’ll admit-mental health is at an all time low and I can’t even find myself happy nor connected to baby. I would just love to hear your honest feedback if I need to honor the rest or snap to, bc I’m really beating myself up these days . Thank you 🥺🙏🏻
