Experience with NHS varicose veins

34 male have had varicose veins for years and years since early teenager age - have got considerably worse my job entails me to be on my feet all day for 12-18 hours a lot of the time apart from the obvious visible signs, painful constantly, and numbness, tightness and feelings of pressure. I have my first vascular surgeon appointment in January (this was booked in march/April time this year) I know it’s not normally done like an everyday procedure but it’s really affecting my life it’s certainly not for vanity reason. Any experiences on NHS please? Am based in London. These are just some pictures they don’t accurately represent how bad they are.

Embolisation in 7 days time

34 Male
Have my pre op blood test tomorrow and got a phone call this morning from hospital with routine questions etc. they confirmed they’re going through my neck but what they did say was that I can receive mild/awake sedation if I wanted to - I thought this was standard? Do they really do it without any anaesthetic or sedation?

Varicocele 35 years old constant pain

35 years old Waiting for appointment for urology consultant to discuss surgical options - left sided varicocele and bilateral hydroceles the pain is constant tender to touch (have a feeling previous doctors don’t want to listen or take immediate action even after several ED Visits) the pain is constant not only to touch and for standing for long periods but also its constant aching/agony when laying down/resting is this is a sign it’s gone too far or is it a sign that it’s the hydroceles need draining?

(Never had any surgery in my life) I know full well NHS is in dire straights right now waiting times, pain management time from referral to surgery, surgery types etc
