So I found out I had chlamydia one month after sleeping with my ex boyfriend, I used my doxycycline pills as recommended, abstained from sex, it’s been just over a week since I completed my pills, however I’m having pelvic discomfort and numbness, the pain is probably 2/10 it’s not bad but I can tell it’s there, my urine doesn’t burn but it also feels a bit uncomfortable, I did do an ultrasound where they stated that everything was fine except for the fact that I had some free fluid in my pouch of Douglas.
I’m waiting until 4 weeks is up so that I can get retested to ensure I was cured, however I’m worried if I do have PID and whether it affected my fallopian tube.
Is it normal to have these symptoms 1 week and change after finishing your pills?

My new boyfriend unknowingly gave me chlamydia, this was my first ever encounter of any STI its taking a toll on me emotionally I can’t help but feeling dirty due to the stigmas attached to it.
I’ve had relationships where I was cheated on but never contracted anything, however he tried his best to be a better person for me but ended up giving that to me, it made me feel like I preferred being cheated on where i didn’t get anything than being loved and respected but still got something.

Do you think I’m less deserving of a good partner because I’ve had chlamydia before? It was cured and retested negative..
