Hi,

I went out for a “few drinks” with my partner on Saturday just gone, baby was fed on expressed milk via bottle all night till next day however I did pump nearly 9oz when I got home. I have put it in a sterilised bag just incase I can use it. Baby is 5 weeks old and takes 5oz.

I’ve been told 3 different things about alcohol and breastfeeding -

1. Pump + dump (I did this at the party before coming home and pumping)
2. As long as you can see baby, you can feed baby
3. Wait 2hrs per drink

What is the correct advice so I know whether it’s safe to use or do I need to bin it?

If point 2 is correct, I could see baby fine, I just chosen to give bottles for mixed opinions I’ve seen regarding breastfeeding and alcohol.

Hi,

I have my repeat GD test tomorrow as the first time I projectile vomited after 40 mins.

I also have 28 week app. with my midwife, anti-d injection, and possibly RSV vaccine if I decide to go ahead whilst waiting to have my bloods re-done following the drink.

Just wondering what happens if you decline the test? What are my options? Will I be able to test for a week instead with finger pricks?

I was really poorly after the last one for 2 days and I already suffer with hyperemesis. It wasn’t the drink itself making me feel sick it was more the effects from it that hit me 40 mins after.

Just in 2 minds of going ahead with it again as I know I’m going to be sick and then having more appointments throughout the day.
