Back in 2021, I joined DEP as a high school senior (18) and was able to create a navy federal account for my dad. I ended up dropping DEP before my ship date but my dad stayed on my account.

I used his sign up code recently (even though he got an account through me, I know it’s weird) so I can sign up for credit cards.

If I were to get audited would I be screwed? Or is it a weird loopholes because I joined legitimately years ago and just never went through with a service obligation. The website says DEP members are eligible for membership, and it dosent mention anything about completing service. Any advice would be appreciated as I have no idea what direction to take my account.
