Hi I am applying for the 2027 entry and we have been told about teacher recommendations which are submitted to UCAS... How important are teacher recommendations for UCAS applications (for UCL, KCL, Imperial, Edinburgh) for Bachelors ? How much importance/weightage do admission officers place on it while accepting you?
Hey everyone, I am applying to KCL through UCAS for 2027 entry. I am doing the IBDP.. Just wanted to ask how strict/genuine is the admissions team at KCL honestly? And what are some specialities/points of difference that KCL has while making offers compared to other unis?
Also is KCL very very strict about entry requirements? Let's say the entry requirements page for my course says 36 and 18HL but I have 37 and 17 HL does that work? Also do you need to be severly exceeding the entry requirements to increase your chances of getting in?
What else can I do in my portfolio/personal statement etc to increase my chances of getting in?

Hello everyone I am a 2027 applicant and currently very stressed about applying to the UK.. I am targeting Imperial, KCL, UCL etc for biological sciences/ biomedical sciences. Please advise me on how and what to do to strengthen my application and get accepted.
I understand grades are the most important but apart from that?
Also if my grades are exactly meeting the entry requirements for a particular course on the university website, but not exceeding.. is there a chance of acceptance or rejection?
And how much of an exceed would help me? (Lets say IB Requirements are 37 points then how much do I need to stand a good chance - not 45/45 ofcourse)
