Hi everyone,

I had a hair transplant in September 2025 in Turkey ( nowhairtime clinic) and currently live in Ireland.

My hair was growing well initially, but from around the 6th month (March 2026) I started experiencing heavy hair shedding. Now, at around 9–10 months, I'm losing about 100+ hairs a day, and the transplanted area looks thinner than before.

I also developed dandruff around the 3rd month. It's better now but hasn't completely gone away.

My current routine:

Minoxidil 5% + Finasteride topical twice daily

Biotin

Multivitamin

Vitamin D3

Ashwagandha

Dercos anti-dandruff shampoo (daily)

Completed 8 PRP sessions

My transplant clinic says this is normal and that final results should be judged after 12 months, but the continuous shedding is making me worried.

Has anyone experienced heavy shedding around the 6–10 month mark after a hair transplant?

Did your hair grow back?

Was the transplanted hair affected or was it mainly native hair?

How long did the shedding last?

What helped reduce the hair fall?

My clinic says everything looks normal and that final results should be assessed after 12 months, but since the 6th month I've been experiencing increasing hair fall and significant dandruff/flaking.

My current routine:

Minoxidil 5% twice daily

Biotin supplement daily

Multivitamin daily

Vitamin D3 every morning

Ashwagandha capsules twice daily

Dercos anti-dandruff shampoo daily

Completed 9 PRP sessions so far

The hair shedding seems to be getting worse rather than better, which is making me anxious.

Has anyone experienced increased shedding or dandruff around the 6–9 month mark after a transplant?

A few questions:

Is this normal at this stage?

Could daily use of anti-dandruff shampoo or minoxidil be irritating my scalp?

Did anyone develop seborrheic dermatitis after their transplant?

Did your density improve again after the 9–12 month period?

For context, I live in Ireland but had the procedure done in Turkey, so follow-up appointments are more difficult.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences, especially from people who had transplants abroad.
