Battery charging cable works

Battery charging cable works

Mine arrived last week and I ordered the first week of April. I was charged in April because it hadn't been backordered yet but whatever. I got a shipping notification when it was mailed.

The cable gets plugged into the charger where the dock plugs in. This worked for me (10A charger), and I charged the battery from about 25% to full which read as 99% on the mower display and in the app. The charger light turns from red to green when the battery is done charging.

I didn't realize until then that the charger gets hot. It was 130 degrees from a temperature gun but the battery was 82 like the air temp in the garage.

My 1+ hadn't been charging from the dock at the time. This cable was convenient because I was sharpening the blades while it was charging. The problem was most likely the dock rain sensor because when I turned on Rainy Mowing, the charging from the dock worked again.

Mower missing spots in latest firmware for navigation

This is a video follow up to the "Current Firmware is Bad." post. It's more naughty than bad in my opinion but still the lataest firmware navigation needs a tweak.

It turned short of the perimeter cut and this wasn't everywhere. Maybe only at this corner because of the stripe angle. It finished the zone without coming back to mow these areas. It also missed a gap or two in this and another zone. See pic and explanation below.

A second mow at a different stripe angle on the next day cleaned up the missed areas. The grass is high because of a few consecutive days of rain. The cut is at 4 inches / 100 mm and is tall fescue.

On my security camera it did "loopback cutting" on the first few rows and then it corrected its behavior to mow normally but it didn't go back to cut the missed gap.

1+ won't power down completely

https://reddit.com/link/1tm3jgx/video/shcwxxhgj03h1/player

About two weeks ago the mower got a charging error late in the evening and I didn't want to deal with it so I turned the mower off and unplugged the battery. The next day when I plugged in the battery I heard a small spark which was like the quiet pop at the 2.5 second mark in the video just before the spring sound from the plug being inserted fully.

When the battery was connected the motor fan or whatever that noise is from cycled on and off repeatedly every few seconds like in the video. I tried some quick resets including a quick battery disconnect but nothing worked.

It mowed and recharged as good as usual but I can't turn it off completely anymore without disconnecting the battery.

The lift motors are also active because when I turned the mower off with the blade deck raised, the motors brought the deck down even though the LCD display was off. I forget if that's normal. But once down the motors for the deck height and wheel height cycled off and on along with the fan.

Everything acts normally when the mower is turned on. I did a battery disconnect for 4 days due to rain and other reasons but so far no resets have fixed the problem.

Any ideas on what to do? I'm about to crack the cases open to check for loose bolts and do some cleaning so I'll look for loose wires too. I haven't done the latest update yet.

First time for this zone and this it happened a few days before the 2.1.45 update. No telling what caused the offset rows.

I thought it would stop after a row or two but it kept on. The extra movements made it lose enough battery to need a recharge for this zone which it never did in this stripe direction.

The mower should have done the backtrack row to the end when it first realized there was a 5 inch gap between rows. Then it could have started the next row normally but it kept turning in the middle of the zone.

This behavior is why I redid all my corridors to connect to the zone corners where possible because the mower thinks this extra pivot is efficient when it is not.

Anytime the mower starts the first row by turning 90 degrees into the zone and then turning another 90 to start mowing it will do this mid-zone turn. All it needs to do is "double mowing" part of a row to start the next row at the end of the zone.

It did this in my sidewalk grass strips until I moved the corridors to an end of the zones.

This split-zone row problem has been mentioned a few times before.
