I have about $6,000 in monthly expenses and $60,000 in debt. I’ve depleted my savings and need income to survive.
I still haven’t received my EAD. My attorney told me I could use my SSN to sign up for delivery apps like DoorDash while I wait.
To be clear, I understand that working before receiving my EAD would be unauthorized employment. My question is specifically about the immigration consequences of doing so as a VAWA applicant. I know that VAWA adjustment applicants are (generally) exempt from the unauthorized-employment bar, but does that protection actually work 100% (!) that way in practice?
I currently have no immigration violations and don’t want to create unnecessary problems for myself until getting a green card. If I work for DoorDash without an EAD and disclose the unauthorized employment honestly, could it still cause problems or negatively affect me during my green card adjustment-of-status process or interview, especially under current admin?

how to solve this? My case starts with EAC
I was diagnosed with a medical condition proving that the abuse caused impairments to my functional and cognitive abilities. I might also require surgery. As of now, I cannot wait 50 months for the I-360 review, followed by another 1–2 years for my green card to be issued.
Can anyone please advise whether there is any way to expedite the process so I can receive my green card within 3–6 months, similar to the timeline I would have had if I had filed through the regular marriage-based process instead of VAWA?
I have submitted my application in June 2026.
I have never had Rav 4, but my friend says it's a reliable car and can easily reach 200k+. Should I buy it? Is it overpriced?
