About to apply for ILR

Hi guys
My ILR is due next month in August and I will be applying with priority to get a decision within 1 week
I got a 18 months toddler born in the UK and his dependent VISA is going to expire in November 2026
I know once I get the ILR granted, I could apply for my toddler's citizenship grant but I read it takes around 6 months to get a decision and if I apply for a grant in August 2026, the citizenship grant could easily pass his VISA expiry date
So my question is , should I renew his VISA during this time or once his application is under process , he does not require any VISA extension until he gets his decision?
Please , no assumptions.. if anyone is or was in similar situation , I could really use your experience in my case
Thanks!

In my 30s and got myself a switch 2!!

I got a Switch Lite as a gift from office 5 years back but never used it much as I felt like I am too old for it.. got a mario kart 8 with it and I just played a few hours before it started getting boring.. so I kept my Switch lite aside until recently while rearranging my home office I stumbled upon it again and decided to give it a try..

Had a little discovery through reddit to find out BOTW is a good game.. so I bought it and fell in love with it.. that made me look out for the better switch model because Switch Lite is quite basic, washed out colours and discovered there is a Switch 2 in the market

Sold my Switch lite on Ebay and ordered Switch 2 on the side .. been using it from past 2 weeks and I must say its awesome.. I do have xbox series s as well but I hardly play on it as well

As a family man, after office I have to be present for my wife and kid in the same room and with Switch 2, it is now possible where my kid is playing with his toys and I am playing with switch without any guilt of missing out to be with the family

This is the difference between xbox and switch.. while xbox kept me in my home office away from family, with switch portability I can just play in my home office docked in between the work and then take it out in the evenings..

Plus I got a new dock/charging station, a pro 2 controller and a few more games like Mario Kart world, Super Smash

The pro controller feels awesome in hand, premium and I play better now compared to using joy cons in docked mode

One last thing, online membership makes a huge difference when playing multiplayer games like Mario Kart.. I always felt it uninteresting when playing along with cpu but now it got exciting when I know I am competing with bunch of real people across the globe.. same experience with Super Smash Bros..

Just wanted to share my experience.. peace out!!

Update: Lots of people are liking the charging dock.. here is the link .. in UK its on clearance on Argos but its actually expensive otherwise
