Please explain like im 3!

Certain companies claim 100% green(solar,wind,tidal etc) so how/why have they increased their rates the same as gas/oil suppliers if they do not use gas/oil in production, I understand they have other costs that will have been affected by soaring oil and gas, but they are they are significantly or even slightly cheaper than traditional suppliers?
