Nafl fasting during exams
I've got my A level physics paper 1 tomorrow, and I'm not sure whether I should fast because of dhul hijjah or not.
For context for anyone outside of the UK, its an exam which determines a third of my grade for my physics subject (1 of 3 subjects), and I need an A in all my subjects in order to be able to get into University, otherwise I will have to reapply for entry next year.
Also physics is a very difficult subject and the questions for my exam board require a lot of logical and tricky thinking.
If it was Ramadan, there would be no question, but the fasts of dhul hijjah are not compulsory.
Despite that, there is still a highly emphasised reward of fasting during the first 9 days of dhul hijjah, so I am not sure if I should fast, especially because its an afternoon 2 hour exam (1pm-3pm), so I'll probably be hungry by then and I would have been revising all morning, so I may be low on energy?
I know a lot of people fasted during Ramadan back when it fell in the exam season, so I was hoping someone could let me know how difficult it was?
Or just general opinions or advice on what I should do?
(Side note, this is my only exam out of 8 exams which falls under the 9 days of dhul hijjah, so this question is just for one exam, not many)
