DoTerra
I work in a law office. I'm the paralegal for our senior partner (her name is on the door). I've worked with her for 13 years.
So - when did DoTerra begin? I'm just curious, as it could be important to this story.
I was talking with a potential client last week. Getting the info about what's what to get him on the calendar.
Dude tells me that his soon-to-be-ex wife started working for DoTerra some years ago. (AND SHE RETIRED HER HUSBAND--sorry, I digress) but he was working as a Real Estate agent (in our area, that's the bum thing to do - unless you REALLY do it, you aren't really doing it). I'm in a very high net worth area - We call it San Francisco light. It's pretty much the same. Slightly less to live here, but not all that much. So people who "work" claim they are real estate agents or massage (or other) type of body worker/therapists. But they actually don't work that much. If at all.
He said that she was making real, actual Money doing this. (Like $3-$4MM per year for several years). Now she only really makes about $1M/year. So she had some good years.
He mentioned some "high up" type names for what she was "presidential," or something. I don't remember. Whatever the oily people call themselves when they sell or have a downline of (apparently) a whole crap ton of reps.
Um hmm. They bought a second home -- In So. California. And that's where she would prefer to live, because here, we have 4 seasons. There is real money here. Investments, etc. I still am in shock over what he told me. I assumed that she got in as one of the very first people, because how. Why? How? (I doubt she's an "owner" of the original company, since he mentioned she was going up the ranks)
I was SUPER skeptical, knowing what I know. I legitimately asked, as soon as "DoTerra" -- which he kept calling "Dough-Terra" -- I was saying "DOO" just to be contrary... if she actually made money. He started to explain it, and I politely said 'Oh, I know exactly what it is." He tried to frame it more "reputably" - I called it out as MLM. Immediately.
Does anyone know if this is Possible? If so, I've never, ever heard of anyone actuall in the top 1% of this. With a name.
