I don't know why, but moving from Root to MLB for broadcasts has me feeling differently. Goldy seems crankier. The repeated hype commercials seem loud and overwrought with excitement. The camera work seems shakier. I think Root had broadcast many teams across the MLB, but they retained more of their own local flavor. MLB is a huge umbrella for the teams now and it feels sterile / sanitized / almost generic. Because that is the lens we see the team (unless in person), it just feels a little meh.

Is this just first year adjustment? Or a enshittification of another thing I love shine less brightly?
