The state of FanFiction.net is so sad.

I remembered back in the 2000s, how I used to bing read FF.net all the time, read great, incredible stories from talented authors.

Nowadays, awhile the site is still full of new stories and good writers, 99% of the site is just full of scam bots and fake reviews and ads. Chapters not updating or not being able to even upload bew documents.

Even that new beta site they got doesn't work for me, it's also bad at sync especially on my phone.

The admin team either doesn't exist or just doesn't care about the countless issues with the site.

I do not like AO3 because it is full of too much gross smut and AI content slop and the document formatting is not good, but AO3 at least cares enough to update itself for it's audience. AO3 actually had a active admin. It is sad to see so many good writers, my favorite writers, being discouraged and ditching the site to go to AO3 or just stop writing and posting in general. It sucks.

Where is the actual owner of the site? Why doesn't he just sell it off to the highest bidder and call it a day? Why doesn't someone else just buy the site from him already?

Just a quick appreciation post for my favorite writer. Seleneducky123.

I’m such a massive fan of her fanfiction and I've completely lost track of how many times I've gone back to reread her stuff, especially The Infection and Mercy and The Accidental Demon and Burden of Eldian I’ve been following her page on FanFiction.net for what feels like forever, and every single year I’m still crossing my fingers for a new chapter. Plus she has cool and beautiful artwork on devianart. Her writing just has a way of totally hitting me in the feels. I really hope she's doing well in life right now, since she says she has issues in life.

Thank you so much, Selene, for always sharing your awesome talent with the fandom!
