Welp, just got banned from r/LGBT for saying the T has been alienating would be allies with outrageous online behavior - so I won’t defend them

I cannot fathom how folks think silencing members of the LGBT community for the most mundane criticisms of behavior makes even a modicum of sense.

As lesbians, now more than ever, we need to aggressively distance ourselves from any portion of the community that thinks this kind of absurdity is okay.

My position has historically been that I just wouldn’t defend this kind of behavior, or the people or communities that engage in it, but now I’m considering that maybe that’s not enough - if the overall community is saying that no one can exist in the community that has any opinion that is not overwhelmingly positive, then are we even safe?

I feel like I’m being radicalized against my own community, by my own community - this is so insane.
