I hate sexual dimorphism

There has been some discourse about it on twitter recently and I don’t care if this makes me sound bitter or hysterical - but it makes me want to die.
So easy for the people of the prolonged fertility, stronger bones, higher muscle mass, superior stature, no pregnancy (which disables you for a good 6 months at least) and overall better physical strength sex to tell me and other pessimistic women that sexual dimorphism is “beautiful” and “tear inducing proof of god’s existence.”
The men who tell me this will say I am an advocate for trans ideology whereas the feminists who have been deluded into thinking that there is no disparity beyond the presence vs the absence of boobs will call me a bioessentialist doomer.
It is, whether we like it or not, the origin of our almost universal subjugation and slavery. The industrial revolution saved us a little from its reign of terror but it is still present, even when society doesn’t make its president the tallest and fittest man. Ugh. I really hope we can figure out a way to bioengineer humans into becoming equal physically.

Would you ever change your mind?

Hey guys. I’m an atheist and have been for the better part of a decade. I’ve always been an indecisive and shifty person, but the one position I’ve always been fixed on is being anti-organized religion. I was raised muslim and still live in a muslim country so even with the constant bombardment of religious dogma I still have not been swayed.
Recently, I’ve been reading and watching more right-wing pro-religion content. Not because I agree with them, but to really understand where their convictions come from beyond the slop I see on my twitter timeline.
There was this podcast episode by a cuckoo conspiracy theorist person (don’t need to say their name) with a guest I genuinely respected for a long time. The guest details how they aren’t an atheist anymore because of the evil they’ve been witnessing recently in the world.
I’ve been thinking about their conversation and while some parts of it are good and others are just plain stupid, this bit kind of fucked with my head.
Maybe being an atheist can warp the way I view conflict in the world in a bad way? I don’t know!
Regardless, my opinions haven’t changed and I’m gonna keep being an annoying atheist for now. I’m not against the concept of changing my mind but I keep wondering what it would take for me to start believing in the supernatural again. Even then, I don’t feel like I would return to my muslim roots, I’d probably go for another religion LMAO.
Let me know what you think. Should I be more secure in my beliefs or …? Haha

Things about Islam I find so ridiculous I have no idea how people just accept them

• If you fart, you have to do your ablution. But amazingly you don’t need to clean the part where the filth came out of (your ass) but your face, head, arms and feet. What does ablution do? It’s surely not for maintaining hygiene.
• Not that it isn’t obvious that Islam is just a Muhammad cult, but it does feel like it at times since it’s basically just us who have figured it out. If this was truly a religion centered around “God”, strict monotheism, anti-idolatry and things of that cosmic nature, why the hell do I need to mention that Muhammad is the messenger of God when I sell my soul to this religion? Isn’t “There is no God but Allah” enough? Why are there so many verses in the Quran about Muhammad’s prizes and awesome exploits? Why do I need to know about the special privileges of a man who has been dead for centuries that have no bearing on the present? Okay, he was allowed to marry more than 4 women unlike the rest of the peasants… and what now? Truly timeless book.
• God casually waits 600 years to reveal that Jesus never died and we’ve all been fooled and whoever doesn’t readily accept this fact about an already fictitious character is an infidel.
• Sperm comes from the spine!
• Why is it such a necessity to have sexual access to female slaves? Okay, you don’t condemn slavery- that’s already bad enough, but why rape the women and girls? Just keep them as regular degular slaves like the male slaves. The existence of a vulva on a body doesn’t make sex obligatory. (Not to say male slaves weren’t castrated and sexually violated too under islamic rule, but it was not their primary purpose or characteristic) Men already have the right to marry multiple women and divorce them with 3 words, so they can keep a rotating buffet of women available for sex- but in a manner that’s a little less bleak than concubinage.
• Pork is forbidden because it’s unclean but chicken isn’t.
• None of Muhammad’s closest literate friends bothered to write in detail the man’s daily routine. Even to this day, we don’t really know how he prayed. The cornerstone of this entire religion is still a debate, a debate so heated it’s one of the defining features of the shittiest sectarian divides in history. Nobody bothered to write it down to save us from this mess.
• All of the 4 Caliphs died of unnatural causes. The last 3 died incredibly violent, disgusting deaths. The prophet himself was likely poisoned. Where is god in all of this?
• WTF is Abraham doing in Mecca..? I know he wasn’t a real person (oral tradition)… basically a guy people made fanfiction (that would eventually be canonized) about but all of the absurdity of his tales from the other abrahamic books in total do not rival the absurdity of a guy who supposedly emerged from Mesopotamia and moved to the Philistines just having a random layover in the middle of the Arabian desert to build a cube.
• God holds up the sky and the stars?
• All of the entities emerging from heaven, like angels, have wings even though wings serve no purpose in space and only work in our very specific atmosphere and gravity. Seems like they’re just the hallucinations of a sick man based off his idea of what the highest heights are.
• What does something being pure or impure mean? Dry semen is “pure” but period blood is always a no no. Dogs are impure but other animals that also pee everywhere, lick themselves and are obligate carnivores aren’t impure. Does it just mean good or bad? Why do I need to say a bunch of sentences in the shower to finally become “clean” after my period? It obviously doesn’t rid me of any microbes. And muslims swear they’re so different than occultists and magic believers.
• How does Islam reconcile with the matrilineal passage of Judaism? How are muslim men allowed to marry and have children with jewish women, unless they’re willing to concede that the child can be both or choose one religion or the other? Or is it really all about the man’s physical strength being able to threaten and override any influence the mother may have on her child? Gross.
• Why does god need sacrifices? On Eid al Adha, lots of people slaughter millions of animals and distribute their parts. Supposedly, this is for charity and 100% not a creepy occult practice. God forgives our sins through this evil act, but you and I don’t need blood to be shed in order to forgive- So does that make me better than God?
• Now than I mentioned animals, why the fuck do animals suffer? I know we suffer because a guy ate a fruit and we have free will and need to be tested BLAH BLAH BLAH… but animals don’t fit that criteria. Their lives are characterized by a constant struggle for survival, illness, starvation and bloody death.
• If prophets’ bodies, all 100k (however many there are) of them, do not decompose, why can’t we find a single perfectly preserved body? We know where Muhammad’s “body” is, why doesn’t the Saudi royal family reveal his perfectly maintained corpse to world to shut down all skepticism about Islam? He’s dust! Even if he isn’t (for hypothetical reasons) he was likely kind of ugly by today’s standards and a lot of people would be put off by the idea of following someone unattractive.

And many others… What are your WTF opinions about Islam?

The smug ignorance of muslims

One thing that truly makes me laugh is whenever they talk about the Bible and Torah being corrupted due to human intervention as if any christian or jew on planet earth believes these books were written by god himself and distributed by his local publishing house. They all know that they’re written by human beings, to the point where many Bible chapters are named after the authors. This isn’t in defense of christianity or judaism but I really hate it when people pretend to be experts with secret knowledge on something they haven’t even read the wikipedia summary on. Like can you even describe what the trinity is, to start? If a non-muslim argued that the Quran is not a divine revelation and was changed multiple times (with more than enough evidence to support this claim) you’d surely be offended, so don’t trespass on other equally BS religions.
Just imagining a conversation between a muslim and a christian where the muslim says the Bible is corrupted is pure comedy. “Even he was weirded tf out”

Truly unbeatable feeling

I’m always so happy when I find myself reading and understanding text without realizing it’s French, a language foreign to me, immediately and not my native language. Or when I’m listening to a podcast and I’m able to actually parse through what they’re saying without closed captions. Language learning is a very difficult endeavor but IMO the most rewarding hobby ever.

A way to practice speaking

Salut!
I am learning French and while I have been able to improve my writing, listening and reading- I am at a loss as to what I should do in regards to my speaking abilities.
I live in a country with virtually no French speakers and I don’t have the money to spend on paid online services that can help me practice speaking, both real tutors and AI tutors.
I tried talking to myself but since there’s very little feedback I can actually give myself, so I find myself more frustrated and insecure.
Is there a free program or method in which I can gain more confidence with my speaking and pronunciation? I would love to know.
