So I built this web app that's 100% private, free and open source. Hosted on github.

Basically, instead of another weather app it'll tell you if you're in danger outside right at that very moment. It takes into account temperature, humidity, age, effort to tell you if your body can still cool itself or it needs help (cold water, AC, cold stone etc.)

If you are in a dicey situation it gives a simple google search link to find nearby resources for help.

I built it because most people simply don't know that our bodies can be overwhelmed in heatwaves. You go outside and it feels not just hot but weird because the humidity, wind, dew point, wet bulb temperature are all together pointing to the fact that your body will struggle.

There's two view modes live thermometer and poster mode (for public displays, eink etc.)

I gain nothing from it. It's not even tracking analytics. But AFAIK it already saved two lives so I'm happy. If you go outside in the heatwave use it and stay safe.
