First time playing Middle East, need help making money 😭

I finally got Persia DLC and decided to play Middle East (im a smelly Haraldr 'Arsehair' main, luv me vikings) but im struggling with making money, i just feel like its barely anything and middle east is confusing

Im playing as Rostam Bavandid, i conquered neighbouring county, overthrew my liege, got rid of Vali of Rayy and took his lands, established my capital there, embraced persian culture, gave my old lands to my brother, and my son is a tax collector with good aptitude, even set tax decree to Dehqan

I feel like i NEVER have enough money, 1.3 gold a month feels way too small, any suggestions?

Question about Republic Vassals, do their taxes get affected by opinion and council position?

I tried googling it but i keep finding mixed results, some say keeping their opinion high or giving them council positions makes them give you more taxes

some say their taxes to you are just fixed as is regardless of opinion or council, besides obviously the Stewardship perks that increase Republican vassal taxes.

What is actually the case? And why does the game warn me Mayors are "Powerful Vassals" when they can't actually be a threat?

For some context, im a King of Norway, previous generation i conquered Sweden and gave the title, and independence, to my Son, and it went smoothly

Next generation, i decided to do the same with Denmark, i conquered it, solved Bordergore, gave Duchy of Sjaeland (or whatever) to my Son with intent to guve him kingdom title as soon as i could afford to usurp previous danish king (he annoying kept title without any de-jure counties and then went into a war)

but then I died of old age, my new King almost immediately had war declared on him by all his norwegian vassals and i had to fight it for a while, then help Swedish cousin fight off his tyranny war

In the meantime my brother who was meant to be king of sweden got mauled by a bear and died, leaving his 1 year old daughter in place

Once all that was over and I re-made the Denmark Kingdom title (it dissolved) I went to give my niece the Kingdom Title (im her warden and ally) but when i did one of her vassals stayed with me, i reloaded a save and googled it

"No counties outside de jure" saod google so i retracted his 2 vassals in poland and gave them independence

I have no double, triple and quadruple checked that he has no vassals or titles outside denmark, or even his duchy, but he still remains my vassal, wtf am i supposed to do?
