First Job
Hi everyone, I’m curious to hear what everyone’s first job in the field was and how you got to where you are now in your career.
I’m currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Biomedical Technology and recently got hired as an Associate Biomed at Integrated Medical Systems, Inc.. The responsibilities are similar to what I’ve been studying in school, including soldering, performing PMs on incoming equipment, shipping and receiving, and some deliveries.
The position is based at an outside facility rather than directly in a hospital, but my long term goal is to eventually work for a third party biomedical company that services hospitals.
I’d love to hear about how others got started and any advice you may have for someone entering the field.
