WIBTAH if I made an excel sheet of all of the crazy science takes my mom has
My (24) mom (54) has a lot of interesting science takes and theyre always the least expected thing. For example she has just told me that all my mental issues (the standard anxiety and depression with a hint of OCPD) are caused by an excess of black bile. Yes black bile as in from the 4 humours. As in the system that may have started? In ancient Egyptian times but was popularised by the Greeks and then disproven in the 1800s ish.
The reason this is so funny to me is because she is a science major. As one might guess she also thinks all modern medecine is fake and that vaccines cause autism and gayness.
I dont know what I would plan on doing with the excel sheet but I'll probably never publish it while she lives because that would just be too cruel but I think it would be nice to have a diary of her medical shenanigans and how her ideas change over time.
