Am I arriving too late for democracy?
When the game launched, I was going through a difficult time and couldn't play it. Despite this, I spent months wanting to play it. When my life stabilized, I lost interest and got distracted with other things. Now, with not much to do in Arc Raiders and being a bit tired of The Division 2, I thought about finally buying Helldivers.
However, I've seen a lot of negative reviews of the game. Most of the videos that appear on YouTube when you search for the game's name are "Helldiver is dying," "Helldiver is gone," "Helldiver is awful," and other negative things. The Steam reviews are also quite bad compared to what they used to be. From what I've seen, most complaints are that the developers don't seem to listen to the community much and don't care much about the endgame.
I'm looking for a game to immerse myself in for hundreds of hours like I did with The Division 2 and Arc Raiders, and this one seemed the most similar to both. I wanted to know the opinion of someone who actually plays the game. Is it really that bad? Are we going too long without new content? In my country the dollar is quite expensive, so I didn't want to spend money on a game that will take a long time to find matches due to a lack of players or that is already close to dying, despite that, the game seemed quite fun.
