Anxiety about driving off by traffic lights/roundabouts

Hi drivers/learners!

I'm 38 and recently got my drivers license.

The lessons went pretty smooth, I took a fast course, so I got it within 2 months.

This week, I got my very first car, a manual too, and I need to get used to the clutch. The car I used for lessons was diesel and far more modern than the car I have now, which runs on gas.

Guys, the car keeps shutting off when I want to drive off at traffic lights or roundabouts. I feel so much pressure to do it quickly and smoothly, that I basically just panic. Doesn't help when people start honking either, because I wait a little longer to go so that I have space when I mess it up.

Realistically I know I just need to get used to a new vehicle and get a feel for it, but my mind just dreads it. I'm pretty okay with just driving around, it's just when I need to get the car going again at stops.

Any tips, advices or similar stories?
