Hardcore Helper Site Update
Hello again everyone,
First of all, I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who shared feedback. It has helped me significantly improve the site, and its usefulness has expanded enormously because of it.

I’ve worked very hard over the last couple of weeks to make a huge number of changes. There are honestly almost too many to name, so I’ll list some of the biggest ones below. After that, I’d also like to ask for your help once more.
Here are some of the changes:
Edit: Character search/import and connecting battlenet account for all your characters added.
- All items have been added, excluding white and grey items
- Customizable stat weight system added and reworked
- Gear planner section added
- Small tutorials added
- More detailed loot source information added, such as quest name, zone, vendor, and more
- Badges added to indicate extra details, or to equip, plan, or exclude items
- Item exclusions added
- Filter and preference options added, such as only showing swords
- Zone filtering added
- Zone exclusion added
- Zone distribution added to the planner
- Share and import character functionality added
- Item comparison functionality added
- Recommendations based on planned or equipped items added
- Item recommendations refined, for example frost mages should now only get recommended bonus spell damage or frost damage items, not shadow damage items
- Armor type preferences added
- A “+ more” button added to expand item lists
- UI refined
- Badge added to mark items that are part of a quest chain
- Badge added to mark items that require rare materials
- Items with random suffixes added, such as “of the Bear”
- PvP vendor items excluded
- “Quick wins” section removed, as it felt redundant. The top upgrades section still exists
- Stats page added, though this is still being refined
- Professions page added, also still being refined. This should be useful if you find a rare material, such as Tigerseye or Light Leather, and want to check whether you should save it for future use in your profession
- Talents page added
Of course, I would love to get feedback again on all functionalities. If you find bugs, notice something that could be improved, or have suggestions for new features, please let me know. That said, I’ve spent many long nights getting these improvements live, so I do need to set some priorities.
There is one thing in particular where I would really love the community’s help: talent recommendations.
I want to add a feature where every spec has one or more recommended talent builds. However, I think it would be much better to source these recommendations from the community rather than making them all myself. I am, after all, just a simple-minded “all my life enhancement shaman only” kind of guy.
So if you know a strong, popular, or widely accepted talent build for a specific class and spec, I would really appreciate your input.
I hope to make the site a single place to look for all your hardcore assistance, so if you have other features requests that have to take you to other places, let me know.

*Note some items their zones are still updating and could show only their quest or their quest in the planner, this issue should be fixed over the upcoming day or two.
