AITA for not having my feeding tube removed?

I’ve had my feeding tube for 8 years now. I lost the ability to swallow food and got down under 100lbs. I almost died a few times and spent a long time in the hospital. A couple of years ago I regained the ability to eat(mostly). I still struggle a good bit but I manage. My SO seems to think I need to have it removed. Their side is that I don’t often take feeds anymore, it’s been infected a few times and that it gets in the way during intimate times. I do understand that. But I still take all my meds by tube and have to run fluids especially in the hot months. I’m not sure I could take enough fluids that I need when I’m sick by mouth. For arguments sake even if I could, should I have to? It took a lot to get me this tube and yes it’s become a comfort. Almost 💀 of starvation is a hard way to go and I never want to do that again. So AITA for not removing my tube if I’m not ready yet?
