Let's talk movies: Is God Is -spoilers-

Hi all! So I just saw the movie Is God Is this weekend. I really liked it!!!

I'm discovering that I have a warm tender place in my heart for revenge plots that feature women. And this one goes further by having it be Black women on the hunt.

After seeing a movie I enjoy I like to geek out over it, and thus I'm here asking what other people thought of it. I love thinking critically about media I like.

For me - I wish the ending didn't feel rushed. I also feel weird about the uplifting/saving grace/hope/all is well being placed on a literal newborn. I would have found it interesting if she chose NOT to have the child and instead discover who she was on her own. Or - for us to have seen her in the months leading up to giving birth growing into herself.

Otherwise, I enjoyed the movie and knew things were taking a wicked turn when Janelle's character met her end.
