Buy ISTA or have mechanic diagnose
Hello! I recently got a check engine light on my 2019 M4 for a drivetrain malfunction. After some research I found that it is most likely the waste gate actuator, but the problem here is that I don't know WHICH ONE it is. I asked around and it seems like the only way to check is by using ISTA which is around 280 online. I also asked a local BMW mechanic and they said they can diagnose it for 200. Should I buy it myself to have full access or is it too complicated for a quick thing like this and I should just have him do it. Also if you know of any other ways to check which actuator could be damaged that would be helpful too. Thank you.
