iPhone contactless payment not working, just says hold near reader
When I double-click the side power button on my iPhone 15 to activate contactless wallet pay, it tells me to hold my phone near the reader but nothing happens. No error message, no failure notification — it just stays stuck on the “hold iPhone near reader” screen.
I’ve tried every angle and position, even after Face ID authenticates. It worked perfectly until today and now it won’t scan at all. I’m not sure if it’s an NFC chip issue or something else.
For more info, i use a under 18 revolut master-card but i doubt thats the problem because it has always worked, i tried it 5 times today and it failed 4 times and actually worked once, I also have my iOS up to date (26.5) I also live in Spain and i got a new phone case but yet again i doubt thats the problem because i got it a week and a half ago and the problem it only began today.
