My cat has been licking this spot on her leg and opens the skin. We've had her wear a cone until it heals completely but when we remove it she goes back to licking the spot and ruins her skin again. We then put the cone back on and wait all over again for it to heal all for the cycle to repeat. The vet gave ilium neocort cream for 5 days and we thought that would work but she healed again and now she's back to licking the same spot. I don't know what else to do we can't have her in a cone forever.
