I’ve had an active secret clearance for a little over a year now and was just submitted for a TS. Upon filling out my SF86 in the employment section, there is a question that asks about being reprimanded for security/misconduct and then another asking if you’ve been fired. It seems that I had previously marked no for both on this particular job but I was in fact fired for performance (hated the job, was already checked out mentally and knew my part time job was about to become full time). Should I correct this and explain it on the new form? Or correct it and then just clarify if it comes up in the interview? Or just leave it as is unless asked about it? Report to FSO?

Have some friends (a couple) moving out of town in the next few months. I’ve got the main gift figured out but I would like to get them something that is definitively Tucson to take with them. Something with at least a mild degree of absurdity would be ideal but I’m open to all suggestions!

Two friends that are also a couple are finishing their degrees and moving out of state soon. I can shop for one of them individually and ask for his input with regards to his partner that I don’t know as well, but that feels kind of tacky and I’d rather get them a joint gift that is helpful during this large transition but also thoughtful. Neither of them are very materialistically driven outside of some specific items (think things like fountain pens, coins etc). I’m close enough with them that I would feel comfortable with a card and some cash “for the UHaul during your big move” or something to that effect and I know they’d appreciate the practicality of that but I think I can do better. Any suggestions are welcome!
