This just shows how good the 24U still is...

This popped up on my YouTube feed the other day. A very interesting method of doing an objective performance comparison of the 21U up to the 26U, side-by-side.
The key things I got from it are:
- There was a substantial leap forward in performance between the 23U and 24U, particularly for local AI workloads but in general across the set of tests he did.
- There were very incremental steps forward between the 24 and 25, and 25 to 26. We're talking about an extra few seconds.
- In his intense test which is to test cooling vs performance where he did a bunch of back-to-back tasks in sequence - again a very small difference between the latest 3:
- 26U took 4mins 42s
- 25U took 4mins 52s (+ 10s)
- 24U took 5mins 1s (+9s to the 25, +19s to the 26).
- For reference: 23U took 6m 28s, but it was only ~30s faster than the 21 and 22.
Basically 21, 22 and 23 all performed similar. While 24, 25 and 26 all performed similar. You might think "so the 27U will be the next leap forward?" but for some reason I doubt that will happen...
