Bricked after 2026.15 update
I updated to 2026.15 this morning. 2026 R1T Tri, 12K miles, Autonomous+. After some initial challenges getting the hands-free driving to work, things seemed fine after a reset. It had been forcing the front collision detection off.
Tonight, I went to a restaurant with family and came out to a totally unresponsive truck. Phone, watch, and keycard wouldn’t work. I thought 12v at first, but the car isn’t very old. I called support and they remotely unlocked the car.
Once inside the screens were in reset loop and flashed a bunch of critical errors. Would turn off for a few minutes then boot back up. Wouldn’t go into drive, reverse, etc. I saw it had a critical battery error (with an image of the high voltage pack) and every warning icon was on. Spent a while on the phone with support before we had to throw in the towel.
I had to leave the truck in a parking lot for it to be towed later. When I did it was completely unresponsive again. Doors didn’t work. But the tail lights flashed a bunch, randomly, like death throes.
Has anyone seen this behavior before?
