I bought an EDC keyring and a flashlight (KeyUnity and ThruNite respectively) on the same day less than a year ago in August 2025. Recently my flashlight stopped working correctly and I sent ThruNite an email. They immediately responded asking me for a bare minimum amount of information, noted they no longer make that specific model and then asked me what an acceptable replacement would be (this is without any arguing on my part they immediately offered.

When I went to warranty my $15 "titanium" keychain from KeyUnity I find their warranty page is 15 days. You have 15 days after receiving the product before the warranty ends. They offer a two year "maintenance warranty" so they can offer an acceptable warranty on their products but when you read the fine print you realize they have set up their warranty in a way that 99.9% of users can never actually use it because most products can withstand 15 days of not having issues.

I am tired of companies screwing over consumers and I would just like to thank ThruNite, a Chinese company, for treating me much better than KeyUnity who I assume is an American company.

In this economy, warranties are something I have to consider carefully because I can't afford to purchase replacements in under a year.

KeyUnity doesn't care about their consumers. Just buy another one and shut up.
