AnatomX AR sizing

Hi! I'm currently in the process of trying on a pair of AnatomX African Rangers (Bronco Brown) that I ordered. So first off: amazing pair of boots. The toe space feels incredible. The problem is that I'm having difficulties deciding whether they are the right size or not. I'm hoping that some of you can share your experiences and takes when it comes to sizing!

I measured my feet to more or less exactly 27 cm or 10.63 inches, and so, per Jim Green's size guide, I ordered a size of UK 9 / US 10 / EU 43.

What I'm noticing is that when I walk in them, I can feel my big toe hitting the front at times. And I get the feeling that walking down slopes will have my big toes resting against the front.

However, I also notice that my heel is not "at rest" at the back of the shoe. But when my heel is touching the back of the shoe there is around 1,5 cm or 0.591 inches to spare at the front. I'm thinking that maybe when the leather relaxes over time, my feet will find themselves further back in the shoes and more room will present itself at the front... Or is this just copium?

How have sizes worked for you guys? Is the size guide right on the money or have you had to size up due to shoe length? Will there be more space at the front with time or should I just swap for half a size bigger?
